We no longer live in Lancaster but have wonderful memories of John at Valentinos. Our grandaughter Sophia would not consider any other place to celebrate her birthday dinner and John gave her the best gift of that night by coming to her with his accordian and singing Happy Birthday and her favorite song at that time which was You Are My Sunshine. You are all lucky to have had him in your lives.

I was saddened to hear of John’s passing but know that his life will be celebrated. I remember John as a man full of life always with a smile on his face– of course the only places I ever saw him was at Lake Wallenpaupack fishing or at Valentinos’s sitting with my family chatting bringing me spaghetti– two of his passions!  While I know he will be missed greatly his memory, legacy and spirit will live on thru his family and friends.  All my best to you all.

My fondest memory of John was when, on a Thursday night, my wife had just given birth to twin girls.  It was also my birthday.  But everyone knows, Thursday was the night to be there.  I stopped in to have a beverage or two and along comes John with accordian strapped across his back to quickly play “happy birthday” to me.  Everyone sang along but it was John’s accordian playing that set the night off.  John………you were a great man.  And you will be greatly missed!!!
