Jodi Lynn Dearolf, 46

February 26, 2020

Jodi Lynn (Jackson) Dearolf, 46, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Hershey Medical Center after a courageous year and a half battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Roberta (Getz) Jackson. She was the loving wife of Michael “Mike” Dearolf with whom she shared over 13 years of marriage.

She was a 1993 graduate of Warwick High School. Jodi worked for the Mint Condition company and formally worked for the Identicard Systems.

Jodi loved listening to music, especially Bon Jovi. She enjoyed collecting decorations with hearts or roses on them and wearing LuLaRoe clothes and wearing anything with Bon Jovi on it. Jodi enjoyed camping and going to the beach.

She was a social butterfly who loved talking and being around people. She always put others before her.

Most of all, Jodi loved spending time with her kids and granddaughter, Jasyrah.

In addition to her husband Mike, she is survived by her daughter Kelsy M. Jackson; two sons: Brandon D. Jackson, Owen M. Dearolf and granddaughter Jasyrah all at home; sister Jeanie Allison wife of Doug of Columbia; brother Shane Eller of Akron; aunt Beverly Getz of Rothsville and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her uncles, Bill and Doug.

Friends and family will be received from 6-8PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Interment will be private in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jodi’s memory may be made to Penn State Cancer Institute, 400 University Dr, Hershey, PA 17033.

We are mourning with you. Jodi always had a sparkle. We remember her stopping in our store as a high schooler.  Enjoyed chatting with her when I ran into her during her work breaks.
Condolences to the entire family

Jodi’s lack of presence will be felt at her impromptu street parties and daily walks around the ‘hood.
The suffering is over. RIP.

I met Jodi at Stauffer park while Mike was playing softball.  Jodi and her group of ladies always made the long nights of softball fun.  She always had a smile on her face.  I always liked how she told you what she thought.  Although we have not seen each other in a while, Facebook kept us in contact.  Sorry for the loss to Mike and the kids, thanks for sharing a small part of Jodi with all of us.  Ben

We were lucky enough to meet Jodi and her family when our daughter and family moved to Lancaster.  Jodi was quick to introduce herself to our Jodie and they became fast friends.  She was outgoing and fun and yes, she loved Bon Jovi!  We ran into her at Knoebel’s Grove once and she and the family stayed with us in Williamsport when Mike had a tournament here.  We are so sorry to find that her light is gone from this world.  She certainly brightened wherever she was.  Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  God has another angel.               with Love and Hugs,  Kay and Don Young

Mike,  I’m so sorry for your loss. Jodi was a passionate loving person.  She was there for all the fundraisers we had for our little granddaughter Sophia.  Especially the basket bingo fundraiser, she knew trick to winning.  I think she won around 10 baskets that day.  She will be truly missed.

My prayers go out to the entire family.  I didn’t know Jodi but, I did know her mother Roberta.  She was a dear friend of mine and miss her greatly. I am so sorry that her daughter left this earth so young as well.  I know her mother was waiting for her at the gates in Heaven.  She’s with the Angels right now.
