I spent many times this week remembering the fun times Joanne and I had when we were little kids. I spent many weeks at our grandparents Mom and Pap’s house on S. Lime Street and Joanne lived one street over on Rockland. We would spend hours playing with our dolls in the backyard, cutting up leaves to feed them, and bathing them in a bucket. Then we would cut through the garages to Abe Ruben’s store to buy a few pieces of penny candy. Those were the good old carefree days, lots of fun growing up with my cousin.

My regret is that we lost touch after those years, we could have shared so much more.

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother, and sister. I, too, have lost another part of my family, but my memories of Joanne will never die.

Robin Wiggins Broomall

I am very sorry for your loss. Joanne and I spent our first 10-12 years as best friends, living across the street from each other. We also went to Abe’s each night for cigarettes, licorice or some other thing for our folks. I have lost touch with the family once we all moved.

We always seem to think we have forever to touch base and for me and Joanne the time has passed.

Please know that the memories, laughter and all the trouble we got into as children has never been forgotten.

God Bless

My husband and I are saddened by Joanne’s passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. She worked for my husband at his Typesetting plant in Lancaster from the 70’s until it closed in 1982. She was a dear person and a friend.

I am so sorry for your loss Kevin. Your mom was an wonderful woman. I have to think that the incredible man you have become is largely because of her love and guidance. She will surely smile upon you and your family’s accomplishments forever.

Please know that the time I spent with you and your mom will never be forgotten. I love you my co-little brother.

Clayton II Clayton III and Jessica Blevins

My sympathies to the family of Joanne.  Our grandfathers were brothers and I lost track of some distant relatives.  I read the obituary and I realized we were connected.  My grandfathers name was Joseph M Brooks, and my fathers name was also Ross E. Brooks.   If anyone would like to get in touch my DIL’s email is pamela68@frontiernet.net.  Again, my deepest sympathies for your loss.  Richard Brooks, Gap Pa
