Dear Kristi, Mr and Mrs Dahlgren and Family

I am not sure you remember me, my name is Pete (Swiss Pete) and I played hockey with Jeff at MU. I was deeply saddened by the news of Jeff’s passing. I remember Jeff as a friendly and caring guy, always concerned with the well-being of his team-mates. When I left the US, we spoke about Jeff visiting my home country Switzerland one day, unfortunately this never happened. Nevertheless, I feel proud and honoured to have known Jeff. I will keep his memory with me forever. My sincere condolences, I wish you and your family the strength and time you need to get through this difficult time.

Best wishes from Zürich, Switzerland

Pete Kaithan

Dear Kristi & Family:
We were shocked to hear of Jeff’s passing.  We had the distinct pleasure for working with Jeff when he was at Donegal Mutual as well as Motorists Mutual.  He became a close friend of many of us here at the agency and was an excellent underwriter and an all-around great guy.  We always looked forward to his visits and enjoyed working with him very much.  We are so very sorry for your loss and we pray that God’s peace will be with you during the days ahead.

Unfortunately, I had the privilege of working with Jeff for only a short period of time.  Nevertheless, his dedication, unfailing good humor, and willingness to learn despite his industry experience made him a good fit for our Zenith “family”.  We are sorry for your loss, and we will miss him. – Ken Hildebrand

Although it was only a few months that J.D. and I worked together it felt like I knew him for years.  He had such a positive attitude and a great outlook on life.  He was such a caring, compassionate, friendly person, a real breath of fresh air.  I was lucky enough to share a cubicle wall and some lighthearted stories with him.  It was a pleasure knowing him.  He will be missed by all that knew him.  Hearfelt sympathy and condolences to his family at this difficult time.  Pam Krajci, Zenith Insurance
