Jeanette (Hollow) Bowman, 86

Jeanette (Hollow) Bowman, 86, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Born in Conestoga, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Agnes (Cumens) Hollow. Jeanette was the loving wife of the late Earl W. Bowman, Jr., who died in 2015.
Jeanette was dedicated to her family and spent her years as a homemaker, caring for children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her family, she enjoyed Word Searches and going to the beach and shopping with her sisters.
Jeanette is survived by her 3 children: Ronald W. Bowman, of Lancaster; Randy E. Bowman, of Lancaster; and Donna M. Ortman, wife of Chip, of Mount Joy. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Henry, of Willow Street; and many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother and five sisters.
A visitation for Jeanette will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 2PM – 4PM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Private interment will take place at New Providence Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeanette’s name may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.

Ronald, Randy and Donna-
Emily, Zachary and I was deeply saddened when we heard the news of your mother’s death this week. We are sending you our sincerest condolences and know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Your mother is the strongest woman we have ever known and we will miss her greatly. Your mother has always happy and up beat when we were around. I known here for 55 years and was very proud to call her Anut Jeanette.  We hope that we can return the favor and give you strength and comfort during this difficult time. There are no words that can take away the pain in your heart right now, but know that we are always here for you and praying for you.
