Jason Chastain, 46

Jason Chastain, 46, of Lancaster passed away on Monday November 9, 2020 at home. He was born in Charleston, SC to Arthur and Linda (Calderon) Chastain.

He is survived by his parents, his children; Victoria Chastain, Alyssa Chastain fiancée of Wes Cooke, Conor Chastain fiancé of Autumn Fritz, and Cylie Leidy, and a grandson, Joey Margarito. He is also survived by a brother, David Chastain husband of Jennifer, a niece, Ava, nephew, Henry David, girlfriend, Alicia Rader, and first wife and close friend Cindy Leidy, wife of Jeremy.

Jason loved all things sports. He loved the New York Giants, Clemson Tigers, Philadelphia Flyers, and Philadelphia Phillies. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing. He had enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved his guns. Jason went to concerts and traversed to many locations to watch his favorite band Blackberry Smoke.

On October 12, 2020 Jason celebrated two years of sobriety. He shared his struggles with open raw transparency. Through this honest public dialogue other people struggling with addiction and the desire to become sober began to seek him out. He was an inspiration to all who knew him with his kind heart and gave comfort to many.

His children and grandson are his proudest accomplishment. He loves them so much. He was happy and fulfilled watching them live their lives and celebrating their achievements. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects Friday November 13, 2020 from 6-8pm at Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Service will be held Saturday November 14, 2020 at 11:00am at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. Guests will be received starting at 10:00am. Interment is private.

So saddened to hear of this loss. Jason was my great friend for many years and some of my greatest memories, and stories, include Jason. My deepest condolences to the Chastain Family, and all his family and friends. Jason was truly one of a kind. Rest In Peace, Jason. You won’t be forgotten.

Jason, you’re an inspiration. Thanks for your honesty and courage. You fought a tough battle with all the medical issues and did so free from the bondage of alcohol. I’m sure your family is as proud of you as I am. Have fun playing poker with my mom! I’ll see ya both when I get there. May God bring your family peace in knowing you are safe and free from the pain of this earthly life. My condolences to all who love you. Goodbye for now friend.

RIP Jason Chastain. Gone too soon. You overcame so many obstacles with God’s guidance. You were such strong positive motivating man. It was so obvious that your life centered around your family.
