Dear Angeline Madonna Eckenrode – – My sincere condolences on James’ passing.
I remember you and him both from our days at Catholic High School. I particularly remember fondly our Senior Class when James and I were the only ones in
the entire class that had a car and drove to school each day. Of course the
Nuns paid special attention to both of us when it was necessary to take a sick
classmate home during school hours. I am sure James remembered what it was
like to be a chauffer in school. I know I do. I check the 1948 Yearbook quite
often and it brings back fond memories of those days. I will be thinking of
you at tomorrow’s Memorial Service, Angeline.
Warmly,
Jim Landis

Mr Eckenrode was a good man. He was the father of my good friend from back in the day, Steve. I remember him as a hardworking and solid man, and am sorry to hear of his passing. All my love to Steve, Mrs Eckenrode, and his entire family.
