James Frank March, 98
James Frank March, 98, of Millersville, died July 30, 2007 at Oak Leaf Manor.
Born in Lionville, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester March. He was the husband of the late Mary (Zincaro) March who died in 1992. They celebrated 57 years of marriage together.
Frank was a graduate of Downingtown Area High School. He worked in the dairy industry in the Philadelphia, Glen Roy, and Chester County areas for most of his life. After retirement, Frank relocated to Narberth and then to Lancaster to be with his loving daughter, Carol. He lived at Valleybrook Estates until seven years ago when he moved to Oak Leaf Manor.
Frank was an avid sports fan especially for the Philadelphia Phillies. He enjoyed traveling and music. Frank had a fantastic memory and loved to join in conversations. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
Surviving is his daughter, Carol M., wife of William T. Hughes of Lancaster; five grandchildren, James McDowell of Quarryville, Larry McDowell of Nottingham, Jeff McDowell of Oxford, Meg Leibold of Oxford, and Elizabeth DeLaHoz of Melbourne, Fl.; three step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan M. McDowell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007 from St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 501 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster beginning at 10AM. Friends will be received from 9:30 until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to St. John Neumann Church, 501 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601. Arrangements by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, Lititz.
