Jake “Billy” Williams, 66

Jake Williams, 66, of Lititz, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Jake Martin and Leona Williams. Jake was the husband of Stacy (Beamesderfer) Williams with whom he celebrated 33 years of marriage.

A Vietnam veteran, Jake served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a mixer operator in the tile department with Armstrong World Industries for 27 years. He was a member of the AmVets, VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed blues and country music, fishing, collecting coins and antiques, and motorcycles. He also was a fan of the 49ers football team. Jake loved his kids and spending time with his family. He also adored his dog, Max.

In addition to his wife, Stacy, Jake is survived by 4 daughters, Jessica Elliott, Crystal Williams Martzall, Alexis Williams-Hawk and Whitney Williams; a son, Phillip Williams; a proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Randolph.

Jake will be extremely missed, but never forgotten. “Once a Marine, Always a Marine” Semper Fi.

A viewing will be from 9-10 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with a Funeral Service to follow at 10 AM. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

I knew Jake for a few years from the V.A., he was such a good soul, and I consider him a friend!  He was a fellow Marine as well as a fellow Biker!  I will be at the Service and Ride and Stand for him proudly!  I am sure he will be missed bu many!  Semper Fi, my Friend!  Tom Root GySgt USMC Retired!

To my Uncle and family he will be truly missed. It’s just simply amazing how in the blink of an eye GOD can call home one of his children. We question all the time how could this be and why him but even in our toughest moments he knows best. I pray for strength in all things especially during this time. I love you all.
