Jacquelyn (Jackie) D. (Butler) Richardson, 70, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017. Born in Waycross, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ed Butler. Moving up North as a young adult, she spent most of her years in Philadelphia/ S. Jersey. She relocated to Lancaster 20 years ago following her son & his family.
Jacquelyn was a licensed cosmetologist in her younger days but most of her years were spent as a home healthcare worker. She took great pride in her work, genuinely caring for her patients and their families, often developing close friendships.
Always smiling, Jacquelyn made a friend wherever she went. Her light-hearted personality and sense of humor made her a very likable person.
Jacquelyn enjoyed traveling but her heart was at home. She had a love for action movies, especially James Bond. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Jacquelyn is survived by her husband (separated), Cameron Richardson of Philadelphia; her son, Rasheed Richardson, husband of Christine of Lancaster and her 3 grandchildren: Darius, Maya & Cameron; 3 sisters: Penny, Dale and Lanell. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins.
