Harold Evans, 96, of Lititz, died Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.
Born in Lancaster, he was the husband of the late Betty A. (Dussinger) Evans, who died March 30, 2015. He was the son of the late Albert and Ellen (McNally) Evans.
A US Army veteran of WWII, Harold was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lancaster, and a graduate of McCaskey High School.

Harold enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and liked to shoot pool.
The family’s rock, he was a wonderful father and grandfather. His grandsons enjoyed spending time with him, learning the art of building and repair—also known as “tinkering in the basement”. He lovingly cared for his wife when she was ill.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the Chapel at Luther Acres, 600 E. Main St., Lititz, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen P. Verkouw officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
