Gustavo Jimenez-Florez, 76

Gustavo Jimenez-Florez, celebrated his 76th birthday going into the arms of the Lord on January 7, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cartagena, Colombia he was the son of the late Jesus Jimenez Villanueva and Ana Rosa Flores Arboledo. He was also the loving husband of Diamilia Jimenez for 37 years.

Gustavo was highly intelligent and always had a drive to learn more. He prided himself on obtaining his bachelor’s degree and being a successful pharmacist. He enjoyed reading, preaching, teaching the word of God, playing chess and doing mathematics, in particular calculus. He will also be remembered for being technologically advanced. He always had the newest electronics and apps and was willing to help others in showing how they worked. When he was younger, he also enjoyed producing and creating music out of his home studio. His specialty was creating beats and playing the keyboard.

He was a man of God and loved to share the word of the gospel. He was a member of the church of El Buen Pastor in Lancaster.

He will be sorely missed by his wife, children: Victor Rosario (Iris E. Batis) and Gustavo Jimenez Jr. (Alida Jimenez) all of Lancaster, and Yanadile Pierson (Darren L. Pierson, Jr.) of Chesapeake, VA, his grandchildren: Jaqueleen Rosario, Jahren Pierson, Kiomara Jimenez, Jayliana Rosario, Jayla Pierson, Adrian Jimenez, Jahleya Pierson and Joycemar Rosario, and sisters: Marcela Caraballo and Betty Ruiz both of Colombia.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 6PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from 4PM until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery at 10AM.
