Dear Family Members,

It is with a heavy heart that I read about Gladys passing this week. My friendship with Gladys goes back at least 35 years as she was a close friend of my Aunt Bernadette Reiner.  We spent many Sundays, holidays and weekends together as we picniced, went to "Good and Plenty" or celebrated at Aunt Bernadette’s home. Like my aunt, Gladys exemplified an independent woman during a time when that was not common.  I always looked up to Gladys and was impressed by her experiences during WWII, her open-mindedness and her up-to-the-minute knowledge of current events.  Gladys and I had a nice visit just a few months ago at St. Annes. She was a good family friend and I will miss her greatly.

Dear Aunt Gladys,
Fred Eshelman adored you … and I was privileged , as his caretaker for many years, to learn to know you and your sweet spirit.  Thank you for being so faithful to Fred in always remembering to send him a card or just to be there on the phone for a nice little conversation which seemed to bring joy to you both.  Thank you for a life well lived.  May your loved ones be encouraged to know you are with your Heavenly Father.
Lovingly,
Gloria Rohrer
