George Roy Farneth, 92
August 24, 1922 - August 13, 2015
Dear Dad,
God shared you with us for 92 years and now has taken you to your heavenly home to join Jean, your wife of 64 years. We are sad but we also rejoice!
We are so very blessed to have had you as our role model as you lived a Godly life. You dearly loved your wife, your 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Your heart belonged to your family, your home and to your strong Christian faith.
You were a selfless giver and the rock of our family. We loved your stories and respected your advice, wisdom and encouragement. We fondly remember your singing, homemade fudge, huge garden, warm smile, napping and strong handshake. You enjoyed taking us on family vacations, teasing your grandchildren about finding boy/girlfriends, taking them golfing and helping with tuitions. You sang to our crying babies, went fishing, enjoyed our dogs, joined your sons at the hunting camp, solved crossword puzzles, bowled, made applesauce and offered us dishes of vanilla ice cream with peaches.
Your love, support and gentle spirit will forevermore be missed.
With Love, Gloria McDowell (Dave), Peg Weik (Tom), Richard (Barb) and Robert (Margo)
“When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be.”
