Geneva J. Bleacher, 92

Geneva J. Bleacher, 92, of Manor Twp., passed away peacefully on December 27, 2018 at Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at Lititz. Born in Lancaster, she was one of thirteen children born to the late Aldus L. and Leota (Coble) Kreider. Geneva was the beloved wife of the late John M. Bleacher, and together they shared 54 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2001.
In her early years, Geneva worked for RCA where she was on the baseball team. Later she worked for Donnelly Printing, where she always kept her department well fed, and from where she retired after 25 years of service. For most of her married life, she was a member of Green Hill Methodist Church in Conestoga, where she was well known for her shoo-fly pies.
Geneva is survived by three adopted children, daughter Tina Leonards of Conestoga, and sons Edward Bleacher and David Bleacher. Also surviving are two grandchildren, James B. Leonards, Jr., and Genevie Longenecker and her husband Dylan, with whom she resided; four sisters, Viola Herr (Clifford), Patricia Rhoads (Sonny), Frances Gamber (Jack) and Earla Deiter (Ronnie); and two brothers, Glenn Kreider (Esther) and Mervin Kreider (Janet). In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Jaz Leonards; her grandson, Chris Leonards; sisters, Janet Wissler, Edith Miller and Rosalie Smith; and brothers, Aldus P. Kreider, Preston Kreider and Nelson Kreider.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services which will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 North George Street, Millersville, PA, 17551, where a viewing will take place from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, Conestoga.
