 My name is Renée Stevens unfortunately I didn’t get go to the gathering as well as I wanted to I thought we would have more time. His oldest daughter is my daughter‘s best friend I had previously lost five people in four months and now this🥺and I slowly shut down I couldn’t even go to his funeral smh people can say that I am doing everything wrong  but whatever you simpledon’t know. I cared deeply for him as he was a good soul and a great father with an artistic future, all I can say is it’s just a shame.i know Bob and Gretchen are doing everything They can for Kaydence while I hope that Kadence gets all the help that she needs to understand and transition into this horrible situation.  You all should know that we are here for you for anything and I mean anything. I’m just so blessed to have met Gavin, I am truly one of the lucky ones to have spent time w Gavin and enjoyed playing with our daughters💙

Dear Gretchen, Bob, Nora, and Neil,
Im so sorry..I had NO idea Gavin passed. I don’t get the newspaper or hear the news. I’m totally sick to my stomach about “Maser Man”, I LOVED him soooooo much! I taught him for 2 or 3 years at LSHS… during those years he just was a wild child and no one knew what to do with him, so he was then sent to my classroom where he and I began to “bond”. Ohhhhhh, those were the good ol’ days!!!
I’m soooooooo very sorry for your loss! I have no words to describe the deep sadness I’m feeling right now. Please know I would’ve attended his services had I known!!!

Bob & Gretchen,
i am so very sorry to hear of Gavin’s passing. What a legacy he wrote & how he helped others. I remember the early years (2-5) when we were doing that basket thing Gretchen & you had the shop on N Duke St, and Hy-Tec was one on my clients, Bob. All that Gavin went thru even then in 1st-8th grades. You both gave all you could & he did his very best. He has earned his seat next to God on the high throne. Know that I think of you both often & am praying for you both, Nora, Neil & Gavin’s kids.

Gavin was the real deal…there was no pretense with him…if you were a true friend he embraced that and reciprocated. He was creative & artistic & caring.
