Frederick “Fred” A. Miller, 79

Frederick “Fred” A. Miller, 79, of Bainbridge passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, February 9, 2019. He was born in Jacksonville, IL to the late Myrtle E. Griffen. He was the loving husband to Dolores “Dee” L. (Strohm) for over 39 years.
Fred was employed as an Orderly at Lancaster General Hospital until his retirement in 2011. He was a proud Army and Air Force Veteran as well serving in the Army National Guard and Navy reserve before being honorably discharged. Fred enjoyed camping with his family. Fred was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. When he was not cheering his team on, he could often be found outdoors hunting or fishing, collecting watches, feeding and watching his wild birds, but was rarely found without Dee by his side. Fred will be remembered for his patient and loving nature and always putting everyone first.
In addition to his loving wife, Fred is survived by 4 children: Scott Miller (Linda) of Waldorf, MD., Michele Boxleitner (Scott) of Kirkwood, Gregory Cropper (Rose) of Indianapolis, IN, and Holly Cropper of Indianapolis; 7 Grandchildren: David Miller, Gabrielle Curley (Brian), Danielle Miller, Zac Anderson, Hunter Boxleitner (Anjanette), Autumn Boxleitner and Evan Cropper; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Lee Grantham, Layne Grantham with the arrival of Hailey Curley soon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Fred is preceded in death by 2 sisters: Pat Hood and Marilyn “Sis” Barlow.
