Frederica A. “Fran” Delevieleuse, 80

April 15, 2019

Frederica A. “Fran” Delevieleuse, 80, of Intercourse, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 at Lancashire Hall in Lancaster. Born in Oneonta, NY she was the daughter of the late Charles “Bill” Wambold and Grace (Nichols) Wambold. She was married to George T. “Tracey” Delevieleuse for over 44 years.

In addition to her husband Tracey, she is survived by her children, Natalie Clark and her husband Glenn of Thomaston, CT, Thomas Frick Jr. and his wife Terry of Landisville, PA, John Frick of Portland, OR, Jennifer Brown of Thomaston, CT, Christopher Frick of Nixa, MO, Sarah Hayden and her husband Ken of Strasburg, PA, Heather Romaniello and her husband William of Thomaston, CT, Georgette Zook of Gordonville, PA, and George Toby Delevieleuse of Elkton, FL. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Thomas Frick Sr., her son, Matthew Frick and stepdaughter, Linda Delevieleuse Overton.

In Fran’s extraordinary 80 years she accomplished a degree in computer science working for Duracell International in Newtown, CT and Blue Ball National Bank in Blue Ball, PA. She had a deep love for all children which led her to driving school bus in both Wolcott, CT and for E & E Busing in the Pequea Valley School District, Intercourse, PA. While her grandchildren grew up around her she enjoyed working for Oneida Silver, Heartstrings, and lastly Target, all in Lancaster PA.

Fran’s creativity was shown in her love for gardening, folk art painting, cake decorating, sewing, and crafting. There was nothing that Fran couldn’t do, grow, make or create. Once her nest was empty, she opened her home as a bed & breakfast and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Above everything she was a mom to everyone. There was always an extra seat at her table for anyone who needed a hot meal or a place to stay. So many called her ‘Ma’, she is dearly loved and will be missed.

A Viewing will be held from 10AM-12Noon on Monday, April 22, 2019 followed by a Prayer Service at 12Noon at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Fran’s memory may be made to the Intercourse Fire Co., PO Box 52, Intercourse, PA 17534 or Alzheimer’s Association, Greater PA Chapter, 706 Rothsville Rd, Lititz, PA 17543.

So sorry to learn about the passing of your wife, Fran.  She was a remarkable woman devoted to her loved ones and extended family.  She accomplished so much in her employment history and her creativity extended into various interests.  I remember meeting her at our 50th SHHS reunion.  I was looking forward to seeing you at the dinner at our 55th last year.  Prayers for comfort to you and your family.
