Dear Jim,
I want to offer my deepest sympathies in the loss of your mother AND father. I’m sorry I did not send my condolences after your father passed. I’m so sorry that this happened in such a short period of time.
I loved your mother as my elementary music teacher, and you know I so admired and respected your father as my horn teacher and band director. He was so encouraging and complimentary to me in my French horn playing at a time when I  was so lacking in confidence and self-esteem. I have never forgotten his kindness and faith in me. Music has been and still is my life, so to speak. I have remained active in it always, mostly on the piano. So those who have taught me or helped further my knowledge and advancement in it hold a special place in my heart.
I hope you and your family are well. I’d love to know what you have been doing all these years, and about your family. If you so wish, you can reach me at patticatti@comcast.net.
I lost my father 21 years ago when he was only 61. My mother now has Alzheimer’s. I still miss my father very much, but I trust in the promise of seeing him again one day. May you have that comfort as well.
Sincerely,
Patti (Parmer) Richards

Jim, I have just learned of your mother’s passing, and I understand that your dad passed on not too long ago.  I am sorry for your losses so close together.  I have such fond memories of your parents at St Paul, the choir, and high school band at Penn Manor.  You are in my thoughts at this time,
Sincerely
MarySue (Rettew) Jones
