Dear Nessa & Family,
One of the sweetest memories that I’ve always had of Eunice is her laughter. When I would walk into your home & I would hear her laughing. It always brought joy to my heart. I’m asking the Lord that in these moments that you would feel his peace and love like never before. We love you guys.

Dear Jim and family, Eunice was a wonderful friend.  We first met in nursing school. I enjoyed singing and Bible study with her and a group of friends along with all the joys and heart aches of school and dorm life.  Even now I can hear her laughter. Keeping your family in my prayers,   Lynne (Koser) Weitzel

Dear Uncle Jim, Eunessa, Jamel, Javon, and Justin,  I have so many pleasant memories of Aunt Eunice and most of them have to do with the big Lehman family get togethers. I do have some memories helping her with some house work when you children were small and you were living in the city.  I understand Aunt Eunice often helped with her older siblings when they were busy with small children including my mother, who happened to be the oldest of the sister siblings.  Eunice was a caring and compassionate person and took time to connect with me as well as all of her many, many nieces and nephews.  I admired her for going into nursing and becoming a RN.  Many of my Aunts and Uncles were farmers so it was a big thing to my young mind to have an Aunt become a nurse.
I’m happy to see that she was able to celebrate the 50 years of marriage with Uncle Jim last month.  It seems too soon to say good bye to her but I’m also glad that her day of suffering is over.  I appreciate the memories that I have of Aunt Eunice, Uncle Jim and children.  I will continue to hold you all in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this time of loss.  With much love, Dorcas (Dori)

Enough words can never be said about how sweet this woman was.  She had an amazing family who gave us lifelong memories together. My parents loved spending time with her.. And we loved spending time with the whole family.  So many memories at Camp Swatara and Hopewell Mennonite church… She was a living testament of Jesus… She will surely be missed… My sincere condolences to the family.

Nicely written obituary but it would take pages to truly describe dear Eunice. She was a most treasured friend and while her absence will cause heart ache I know she is supremely happy. Hugs to all . Ruthie Weaver and Mel also

Aunt Eunice was a compassionate caring person it was a blessing to know her. I remember wonderful family gatherings her and Uncle Jim hosted at their spacious home in Birdsboro. It was a blessing to move back to Lancaster county around the same time they moved down into Adamstown. I enjoyed some wonderful times and meals with them at their home and it’s been a privilege to have been introduced to Eunice’s niece, Janel Lehman Long who is a dear friend who I admire. It was great to hear the story about how my grandpa and grandma Christian and Esther Metzler helped to introduce Uncle Jim and Aunt Eunice.
After their moved brethren village Jim and Eunice gifted me with some wonderful family heirlooms that means so much, namely some slides of photos that I had never seen from when my dad and mother were married. Thanks to a creative family member one of these slides became a pair of earrings for my wife. They also gave a very special glass painting that belonged to my mother that has meant so much to me.
May God comfort Uncle Jim and my cousins during this time and may wonderful memories of the past be shared.
