Eric D. Custer, 33

May 30, 2017

Eric Custer, 33, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 30th, in Elizabethtown, PA doing what he loved best, helping his wife and fixing cars. Eric wanted everyone to know his favorite thing in life was to be the tremendous and outstanding father and husband he had been for 11 years.

Eric was born in Columbia in 1983. He married Erin Reese in the summer of 2013 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. Eric worked for the Lancaster County Solid W aste Management Authority.

He was an avid car enthusiast, known for maintaining and restoring all types of vehicles. Eric was also known for his green thumb, his undying loyalty, and his ability to make a room erupt in laughter.

Eric is survived by his wife, Erin Reese Custer, and his two daughters, Kamerin and Caroline, as well as the numerous friends and family that he left a lasting impact on.

A time of gathering will be held between 6PM and 8PM, on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. to Eric’s wife, family & friends, Eric will truly be missed here in Harrisburg. We always greeted each other with our good mornings and good evenings. He was always so nice and had a smile. We were both so excited to start the lcswma exercise program together. I will miss our greetings and chats. Sending hugs & prayers. God bless. Wanda Brehm

Erin and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I retired from the acccounting department at the Authority last year. Eric was such a conscientious weighmaster that we hated when someone else was in the scale house. He made sure the ‘t’s were crossed and the ‘i’s dotted.
I will keep your family in my prayers.
