Our condolences to all of Betsey’s relatives and to Carol Ann Gillespie who lived with her for 26 years. Betsey was a dear sweet lady & friend to all and will be sorely missed. We will miss her life stories and her sense of humor which made everyone laugh. She had a good long life and did plenty of traveling in her younger years. We enjoyed her artistic abilities through her drawings, paintings, and needlepoint designs.  May God comfort you and give you strength to move on without Betsey. Keep memories close to your heart always.
Our Love, Faith and Don & Family

To Many Friends and Family of Betsey White,
Our condolences to you all.  I had the pleasure of meeting Betsey when I visited Don and Faith Nelms and when Betsey and Carol came to Rochester to donate painting that Betsey gave to NTID.  She was an extraordinary person and I know she will be missed by many.
Sincerely Carmella Ramey, Rochester, NY

My late mom was Ruth Whitehouse, Clark School , do not recall the class…but Betsy was so special to her in countless ways.  When we had a special 90th birthday for mom back in 2004 in Westboro, Mass. Betsy was a surprise but very honored guest.  Her attendance just made my mom’s day extra special.  I was just delighted to meet the woman whom mom mentioned often and now after reading her obit, I can fully realize how incredible Betsy’s accomplishments were.  My sincerest sympathy and special hugs to all her surviving family members……
Fondly,  Betty (Whitehouse) Alcock, Center Sandwich, NH

I WOULD LIKE TO SEND TO CONDOLENCE TO THE FAMILY. I AM A FRIEND OF DEAR BETSEY’S AND HAVE KNOWN HER LAST FEW YEARS. SHE WAS SO SPECIAL AND A FINE ARTIST. BETSEY, FAITH AND CAROLE CAME TO MY SCHOOL IN PITTSBURGH AT THE WESTERN PA SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF WHERE I TEACH NOW. AT THAT TIME, MY STUDENTS WERE SO THRILLED TO HAVE MET HER AND SEE WHAT SHE HAS DONE WITH HER TALENTS.  THEY ALL LOVED HER AND WHO DOESN’T! IT  WAS A PLEASURE TO HAVE HER THERE AND THE STUDENTS WILL MISS HER.
I AM BLESSED TO HAVE KNOWN BETSEY IN MY LIFE. I WILL MISS HER DEEPLY AND  SHE WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY MIND AND HEART.
DOTTY SCHARSCHU, ART TEACHER AT WPSD AND A FRIEND.

It is with great sadness in my heart that we have lost someone so special as Betsey. Betsey was a very good friend of not only my mother and father, but also to our whole family. I have so many great memories of Betsey while growing up, from her fabulous cooking, to the manx (sp?) cats she had over 45, years ago in Cambridge Ma.. I was always so amazed to see cats without a tail as a child. Fifteen years ago, she was there to support my mom when my brother died unexpectedly. She  not only made  my mom laugh over all the good times , but also my children, as well as the rest of us here in Holliston.  I still cherish the photo we have of her from that time period in a Large while cowboy hat riding the kids rocking horse in our kitchen whooping it up in only a style that could be called "BETSEY". Betsey was truly unique and a gift to us all for many years.  My mom would be very saddened to learn of the loss of one of her dearest classmates from Clarke School. May Betsey rest in peace for eternity.

All our Love to Carol and Betsey’s family members,

Kathy Clapp-Chaput, Tom Chaput, Jennifer Chaput – Langmeyer, Matthew Chaput, Laura-Beth Chaput,  Much love from my mom Lois Clapp

Your laugh and life story will stay with me forever.
I love you.
Liz Marvin

I will miss her especially for her warm and outgoing personality. I would visit her at her lovely home in Hanover where I loved hearing her telling me fascinating stories of her childhood. God bless her and may she rest in everlasting peace.
