Elizabeth J. Offenbaker, 77
Elizabeth J. Offenbaker, 77 of Lancaster, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 2, 2008.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Rachel Bubb Mable. Elizabeth is the wife of Gerald R. Offenbaker, Sr. and they were married 46 years January 31, 2008. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald B. Keemer, who died in 1959.
Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster. She was a former member of the Democratic Committee, Penn Laurel Girl Scout leader, and a former Sunday school teacher. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, reading, watching westerns and cross stitching. She enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies.
Surviving besides her husband Gerald are two sons, Terry Keemer, husband of Darlene of Willow Street; Gerald Offenbaker, Jr., husband of Dorine of Lancaster, one daughter, Deborah Call of Lancaster; three grandchildren Jessica Keemer, Scott Keemer and Tarah Call; and two great grandchildren, Cassidy and Kyle. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Flowers will be received or contribution may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
