Elizabeth H. Dommel, 90

Elizabeth H. Dommel, 90, of Manheim Township, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2006 at Brethren Village where she resided since 1998.

Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lizzy Eckert Hornberger.  She was the wife of the late John G. Dommel who passed away in August of 2004.

She worked in the clerical department for Armstrong World Industries for twenty-five years and retired in 1979.

She enjoyed her children and family, helping her husband with custom framing, dancing, rug hooking, and reading.  A graduate of Lititz High School, she was a former member of the Eastern Star and Armstrong Circle A Club.  She attended the Brethren Village Chapel and was of the Lutheran faith.

She is survived by a son, J. Gerald husband of Marilyn Herr Dommel of Downingtown; daughters, Frances E. wife of David Greenwood of Lititz; Ruth D. wife of Nick Grigoriades of Lancaster; four grandchildren, J. Gregory Dommel; Bambi L. wife of Marshall Gibbs; Harris N. husband of Tracy Grigoriades; Elizabeth Kristina Grigoriades; three great grandchildren; brother, William husband of Charlotte Weaver Hornberger of Lititz; sister, Emma wife of George Kling of Millerstown; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Edith Mohler, Anna Reedy, and Dorothy Herr.

The funeral service will be held at the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, Pa on Thursday at 10:30a.m.  Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.  Friends may attend the viewing at the Brethren Village Chapel on Thursday from 9:30a.m until the time of service.  Please omit flowers.  Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
