Edward “Ted” McCall, 91

Edward “Ted” McCall, 91, of Lititz, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Lebanon VA Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Beverly L. Schubauer McCall who passed away in 2011. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Edward Sr. and Gertrude White McCall.
A licensed insurance agent, Ted worked for Lititz Mutual Insurance Co for many years. He has served as past president of the NEPA Insurance Assn.
Ted was has served with the Warwick and Manheim Ambulance Assn as a crew member and with the Susquehanna Valley EMS.
He was a member of the NRA, the American Legion and Elks Club in the Scranton area, and had coached Little League Baseball and served as commissioner. He enjoyed chess, reading, going to the Brunnerville Hotel music and building model airplanes.
Ted was a US Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater with the 3rd Air Commando Group in the campaigns of New Guinea, the Philippines and Luzon.
Ted is survived by his son, Geoff E. married to Carol McCall of Brunnerville and his two grandsons, Bryan and Cory. He was preceded in death by his son, Greg and his sister, Betty Tritt.

To Ted McCall’s Son and family, May I send my deepest condolences! I was a friend of Ted’s at the Brunnerville Hotel. I had met you Geoff at the hotel. He was always so happy especially when you came with him to the Brunnerville. I admired your father and was always glad to see him. I enjoyed talking to him of some of his experences. He has and will be greatly missed.

We are so sorry for the loss of your Dad & Grandpa. We met Ted at the Brunnerville Hotel. He was admired by many for his love, dedication & loyalty to his wife, whom he cared for prior to her death.
