To the Family of Brother Edward R. Harrison,

“And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this down:  Blessed are those who die in the Lord.  Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work for their good deeds follow them!”

On behalf of the New Testament Church family, we extend our sincere condolences to you on the passing your loved one.  Losing a loved one is never easy; yet the Lord has promised comfort to all those who mourn.  It is through His infallible word that we offer you love, comfort, and support during your bereavement.  For we know that when this earthly tent that we live in, called the body, has expired from life, we will have another house- a better and eternal house located in a never ending city called Heaven.  It is in that place that God has promised to give His children new bodies that won’t tire out, new minds that won’t succumb to memory deficiencies, new eyes that never grow dim and because of these promises, we are able to maintain confidence in Him – knowing that to be absent from this mortal body is to be present with the Lord.  Today, we celebrate because we know what happens to believers who have passed and thus we do not grieve as those who have no hope.  For our hope is in the promises of the all knowing, all powerful, and never changing God.

Please know that New Testament is here for you today and in the days to come to offer encouragement and support to you during your time of bereavement.  Please do not hesitate to call upon us.  And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing:  Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.  Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.  Then the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will be with you and will keep you in times like these.

Sharing the Love of Christ!

I Remain Amazed by HIS Grace
