I will miss you although I haven’t been able to get back to Lancaster to see you for a very long time! And Yes Mary Ann, Terry (my sister) and I remember the song that he always sang also. He always played the guitar in the living room when we came to visit when we were kids. We will miss you. I know that all of the Mastromatteos are together now.

My condolensces to Eddie’s Family and Friends.
If anybody was fortunate enough to know Eddie – they loved Eddie!
I am one of the people who was fortunate enough to have been positively influenced by him – i will ALWAYS hold him in high regard. He came into my life when I was a reckless 25 year old, with no direction. He explained scripture to me the way only a Wise man could – with insight from many years of meditation and constant personal refinement. Thanks to him I was able slteadily improve my life from one of sceptism, fear and hopelessness to one of hope, compassion, faiith and love for humanity. He explained that if you added a drop of clear water to a cup of mud, over time, you eventually will have a nice, clean, palatable vessel of water. Prior to meeting him, my way of thinking and acting, was always negative and impulsive. He taught me how to change my thinking by planting seeds of prosperity and sucess into my subconscious mind, by meditation. I can honestly say if I had not met Eddie 32 years ago, I would have been an obituary by the age of 30. This “world” has lost a real gem of a person because Eddie was truly “out of this world”. I know he was anxious to graduate from this realm and eager for the next phase of life. You see, this Man truly had Faith and was Fearless in his Convictions.
I, for one, will miss talking with Eddie “Mashed Potatoes” Mastromatteo as I always felt better afterwards. With that said, I look forward to the time when we cross paths again.
God Bless you, Eddie!
Sincerely,
Aaron M. Rye

Uncle Ed was a character, for sure! He had what seemed like unbridled energy and a zest for life. Those Mastromatteos are sure getting a good card game going up in Heaven now! Uncle Ed will surely be missed. RIP and say hello to everyone for me!
