Edward C. Nixdorf, 86

Edward C. Nixdorf, 86, of Lititz, passed away, Friday, December 26, 2008 at his residence. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Edward S. and Elva G. (Carpenter) Nixdorf. He was the husband of Helen R. (Miller) Nixdorf with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage this past December 7^th.

Edward served his country in WWII in the Army Air Force. He was employed as a laborer for Armstrong World Industries for 43 years. Edward was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving in addition to his wife Helen is a daughter; Peggy L Stevenson wife of Charles of Washington Boro, 2 grandchildren; James Stevenson husband of Elizabeth of Harrisburg, and Robert Stevenson of York, 1 great grandchild, and a brother; Herbert Nixdorf. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Helen Sprout and Dorothy Miller

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543 at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Roth officiating. Family and Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Longenecker Cemetery.
