Dorothy S. Roulston, 93
Dorothy S. Roulston, 93, of Greenville, SC, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of the late George H. Roulston, who passed away in 1990. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Bertha Swanland O’Brien.
Dorothy had been a homemaker for most of her life.
She enjoyed family, music, bird feeding and bird watching.
Dorothy was a member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC, and had formerly been a member of Abington Presbyterian Church in Abington, PA, where she sang in the church choir and where she taught music to children.
She is survived by her son, Gary H. married to Ruth K. Roulston of Lititz, PA; her grandson Kevin G. married to Amy L. Roulston of Chicago, IL; her granddaughter Catherine S. married to Derek F. Griffin and by her great granddaughter, Audrey K Griffin of Lititz, PA.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 10:30-11AM at the Wayside Chapel at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.The Funeral Service will be held at 11AM , with interment to follow. Because of Dorothy’s love of music, and the immensely positive impact that love had on her family and friends, it is requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the New Holland Band Scholarship Fund, Box 345, New Holland, PA 17557-0345. I remember how wonderful your mother was to all of us kids when we were growing up. I am grateful as I think back and appreciate what wonderful people your Mother and Father, and the adults in our family in general, were, Thank you for sharing in remembering my mom and dad recently.
