Dorothy M. Seiders, 95

Dorothy M. Seiders, 95, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA passed away on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Masonic Village. She was born in Mt. Joy to the late Charles and Pauline (Germer) Decker.

She married Donald R. Seiders in 1934, and they lived in Elizabethtown until his death in 2001.

Dorothy was previously employed at the Leo Kobb Plumbing Co. and Wenger’s Ptretzel Co.

She was an ardent gardener and was very active in the local Rose Club, serving as president for a few years.

Dorothy and Donald became enthusiastic rock and gem collectors and drove all around the country, visiting various geological locations and attending numerous gem shows, where they bought and traded gems.

Dorothy had lived in Hearthstone Manor in Mt. Joy from 2007-2009 and moved to the Masonic Villages since September, 2009.

Dorothy is survived by a son, Larry R. Seiders, husband of Carl (McIntosh), of Palo Alto, CA, four grandchildren, James Habecker, Amy Habecker Leib, both of Elizabethtown, Mark Seiders and Michael Seiders, of Palo Alto, CA, five great grandchildren living in Elizabethtown, Josh, Rachel, Krystyn, Alicia, and Sebastian Habecker, and two living in Palo Alto, CA, Lennon and Sienna Seiders, one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter Patty Habecker in 2003.

Larry I’m sorry to hear about your mother. I remember you mother’s rose garden .  I also remernber her sense of humor. She had to have a sense of humor to raise you.
I guess your trips to Etown will be greatly reduced. Feel free to come and stay with us. We put our name on the waiting list for the masonic homes.  I don’t feel I’m ready yet. Keep in touch.
