Dorothy M. Oreszko
Dorothy M. Oreszko, widow of the late Peter Oreszko, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 after a short illness.
Born in New Holland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Ellen “Nella” (Pinkerton) Snader.
While living in Lancaster, she was employed as an LPN at the former St. Joseph Hospital, and after retirement, continued as a volunteer at the hospital.
She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, and a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Lancaster, and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, New Holland. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, and loved her faith and being with her family.
Surviving are three sons: Peter P., husband of Patricia Oreszko of Buford, GA; Lawrence J., husband of Cass Oreszko of Millersville; Joseph L. of Lancaster; and two daughters: Loretta, wife of Carl Keiser of Somerset, PA; and Kristiann, wife of Robert W. Trainer of Mountville.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and two sisters: Margaret March of Camp Hill, PA; and Helen Kunkle of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn Connor of Philadelphia and Betty Lichty of Lancaster.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St., New Holland, PA with Rev. John Schmalhofer as Celebrant. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a Christian Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, and again on Monday from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment in St. Stephen UCC Cemetery, New Holland. Please omit flowers.
