I was very sorry to read that Dotty passed away this week.  I haven’t seen her in years.  But, we spent many years working together at the Better Business Bureau.  She was really a wonderful lady.

Hi Judy,
Thanks so much for calling me.  I’m sorry I wasn’t available to speak with you and didn’t get my phone message until late last evening. I had to be at school this morning at 7 a.m. and so couldn’t call you at that time.  I had a lot of very good times with your mom – she loved the chorus and especially quartetting with Ann Wike, Erni Aulenback (both deceased) and myself.  I’ve called her several times and kept her up-to-date with the chorus and the gals that she knew.  I must tell you that every single time I spoke to her she would say, "Marg, I wish I would die"!  Oh, I hated to hear that but that is exactly how she felt. Now, she is finally at peace and got her wish.  She will be missed as all our Sweet Adelines who are not with us anymore are missed.  My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and yours.  I loved your mother and will pray for all of you.  I know she must have been a worry for you, Judy.  Is there anywhere we could send cards of sympathy or will you be leaving shortly after the services.  I intend to call you tonight and speak with you. Take care and God Bless.  I won’t be at the Memorial Service because of school but I most certainly will be thinking of her at 11:00 a.m.  Fondly, Marg

I was very sorry to read that Dotty passed away, this week.  She and I worked at the Better Business Bureau, together, for many years.  It was always nice to see her there.  She was a loyal, reliable volunteer, and a good friend.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.

Dear Judy and Bill,
I was so sorry to hear of Dottie’s passing.  She was one of our first volunteers at the Better Business Bureau, and did a great job for us.  Dottie’s specialties were complaint statistics and proofreading, which she did for us on Mondays.  She and Bob invited me to their home for dinner when I first moved to Lancaster, and I will never forget their kindness.  I liked hearing Dottie’s stories about growing up in Lancaster, and appreciated her perspective.  I always enjoyed Dottie’s candor and her attention to detail.
Please accept my condolences on your loss.
Sincerely,
Linda Hollingshead Bruce
