Dorothy D. Masters, 84
Dorothy Davis Masters, 84, wife of Sam Earl Masters, died Saturday, January 29, 2011 surrounded by her family in Lancaster, PA. She was born in New York City to the late Samuel and Mary Brennan Davis.
She graduated from Edgewood Park Junior College in Briar Cliff Manor, NY in 1946. Dorothy was a Librarian at the Palm Beach County Library, West Palm Beach, FL for more than 30 years.
Survivors include her loving husband, Sam Earl Masters, daughter, Allison Perez (Teddy); granddaughters, Megan and Nicole Washam; brother, Dr. Martin Davis (Peggy); sister, Elizabeth Linell (Harry); and several nieces and nephews. Her sisters, Frances Mascolo and Marion Clifford, preceded Dorothy in death.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held TODAY, February 2, 2011 at 12 NOON at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 201 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with The Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. The Viewing will take place at the church TODAY from 11 AM to 12 PM. Private Interment in Memory Gardens, Lake Worth, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Palm Beach County Library, 3650 Summit Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33406 to purchase a book in her name, or The American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603.
