March 01, 2018

Doris M. Berger, 85, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 1, 2018. Living only her last 15 years in Las Vegas, she lived most of her life in Lancaster. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Pfoutz) Adamire and the youngest of 8 children whom all preceded her in death.
She was married 50 years to the late Bruce A. Berger of Lancaster and one of their greatest joys in life was renting a cabin on the Chesapeake Bay.
Doris is survived by her 3 children and their spouses: David Berger and Debra (Allwein) of Valley Springs, CA; Deborah (Berger) and Michael Hehnly of Las Vegas, NV; Bruce L. Berger and Terry (Pfrommer) of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by 2 grandsons, 3 great grandsons and a great granddaughter.
Doris spent most of her life as a homemaker working briefly for Hamilton Watch East Petersburg and K-D Tools. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, card games, the beach at the Bay, craft shows, collecting teddy bears, cats and slot machines.
She was a private person with few but very close friends whom many have preceded her in death too. The family will not be holding funeral services in Lancaster. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Conestoga Memorial Park. The family asks; if you wish to honor her life, please donate to any charity in her name.

Condolences to the Family

March 13, 2018

Dear Berger Family,
I worked with Doris at Hamilton Watch back in the 60’s.  Actually, I knew both “Augie” and Doris visiting them on a few occasions at their house on Maple Avenue.  I aways considered Doris to be one of the best friends I ever had.  She was very supportive and I will always be grateful for her friendship.  My deepest condolences to all of you.

Very nice obit. She was a nice lady that I knew only briefly, but I’m sure she was loved by many. She is now reunited with her husband and all that preceeded her. Prayers for her family & friends in their time of grief.
