Donald W. Keller, 89
Donald W. Keller, 89 of Lititz, Pa died at Moravian Manor on Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Lewis Wesley and Emily Mae Snook Keller. Donald was the beloved husband of Ethel I. Jones Keller and they were married for 67 years on November 12, 2010.
During WWII he served as Staff Sergeant in the US 8th Army Air force as a tail gunner in the 453rd Bomber Group.
Donald was a sales representative for Allentown Portland Cement Company for 26 years and previously worked for State Equipment Company in Harrisburg.
His memberships include Highland Presbyterian Church, former member of Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg where he served as a Deacon and Elder, Northeast Lancaster Rotary, VFW, Masons, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and Harrisburg Shrine.
His hobbies included bowling, softball, golf and basketball.
Surviving besides his wife are three children: Michael L. husband of Georgia Keller, Manheim, Nancy L. wife of James Tichenor, Philadelphia, PA., D. Jeffrey husband of Sonia Keller, Monterey, Mexico, twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Moravian Manor Chapel, 300 W. Lemon Street, Lititz, PA on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:00AM. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends may pay their respects to the family from 10-11:00AM on Tuesday at Moravian Manor. Please omit flowers. I was so sorry to hear about the loss of PopPop Keller. He was such a joy to know and he and my Dad were such good buddies. The picture is excellent and brought a smile to my face!
