Donald L. Esbin, 71

Donald L. Esbin, 71, of Lancaster, PA, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Brethren Village.
He was the husband of Josephine Shreiner Esbin, with whom he would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this July 18th. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late William R. and Marian Peters Esbin.
Don had been a pharmacist and was the owner of Willow Pharmacy of Willow Street from 1973 to 1997. He had also been the owner of Quarryville Drug from 1997 to 1982. He was a member of the Lancaster County Pharmaceutical Assn. Don was a 1966 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.
He was an active member of Refton Brethren in Christ Church, where he served on the Church Board, was a Sunday School teacher, taught primary church, and was a helper in the preschool for many years.
Don enjoyed reading, golf, and loved boating, and was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969.
In addition to his wife, Josie, he is survived by his sons: Jeff married to Wendy Esbin of Conestoga and Dale married to Pamela Esbin of Cresco, PA; his 4 grandchildren Allison, Jacob, Colton, and Katyann; and by his siblings: William married to Dorothy Esbin of Spring Hill, FL, Shirley married to George Price of Celebration, FL, Charles married to Carolyn Esbin of Crystal Beach, MD and Carol Dische of Unionville, PA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Don’s Memorial Service on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:30AM at Refton Brethren in Christ Church, 110 Church St., Willow Street, PA, Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private at Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Don’s memory to Refton Brethren in Christ Church, Box 68, Refton, PA 17568 or to the Caring Fund at Brethren Village, Attn Development Dept., 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606-5093.

Josie ~ We are so sorry to hear of Don’s passing.  Jillian was telling me what she remembers most about Don was how he gave out candy either before or after church and also the fun she had when he helped in Clubs on Wednesday evenings.  Our thoughts & prayers are with you.
