Donald E. Shultz, 82

Donald E. Shultz, 82, of Lancaster, died peacefully at Pleasant View Retirement Community, on Friday, January 1, 2016. Don was born in Lancaster to the late John E., II and Mary P. (Myers) Shultz and lived here all his life. He is survived by Faye L. (Snyder) Shultz, his loving and devoted wife of 54 years.
Don served his country in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. After his discharge, Don went on to work for RCA as a Tool and Die Maker and then worked for Dental EZ, Lancaster, until his retirement.
Don was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being outdoors and was a fresh water fishing enthusiast, loved to hunt, and especially enjoyed rose gardening. He also loved wood working in his retirement years and loved to roller skate. Don was a proud member of the American Legion, Post 34.
In addition to his wife, Faye, Don is survived by two loving daughters: Penny L. Shultz, wife of Joel A. Wolff, of Watertown, MA and Jennifer Shultz Pizii, wife of Geoffrey T. Pizii, of Charleston, SC. He also leaves behind his grandson, Connor Pizii, whom he loved greatly. Don is also survived by his two sisters: Sallylee K. Sangrey and Carol Lee Sangrey.
Funeral Services for Don will be held at 11AM, Friday, January 8, 2016, in the chapel at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Family and friends will be received at the chapel one hour prior to the service. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that the memorial contributions be made in Don’s memory to Hospice for All Seasons, 208 S. Hill Dr., Grantville, PA 17028.

Jenny, I am sorry about your Father’s passing. He was always so friendly when I would come over and hang out at your house starting in the 7th grade. I remember his beautiful rose bushes and also the way he supported your swimming. May he rest in peace. -Gina Pavlatos Donnelly
