Dennis E. “Denny” Sipel, 57

Dennis E. “Denny” Sipel, 57, of Manheim, passed away on July 28, 2009, at his residence. He was born on January 8, 1952, in Lancaster County. He was a son of the late Richard and Dolores (Miller) Sipel. He is survived by his wife Darlene Sipel of Manheim.

Denny was employed by Richard Welkowitz and had previously been a self employed builder in the Willow Street area. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Denny was active in rodeo and team roping.

In addition to his wife, Denny is survived by three sons: Christopher D., husband of Brenda Sipel of Lititz, Matthew E., husband of Michele Sipel of Holtwood, and Casey J. Gaissert at home; a daughter, Tara married to Joseph Ney of Mountville; five grandchildren: Hunter, Parker, Lily Jo, Charlie, and Bode, and one grandson on the way; three brothers: Douglas Sipel of Washington, Barry Brubaker of Dillsburg, and Robert Brubaker of Mount Joy, and one sister, Renee of Mountville.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at 10:00 AM from the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc. 441 North George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. Interment will follow at Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown. Viewings will take place on Friday, July 31, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
