David W. Leber, 87

David W. Leber, 87, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at LGH. Born in Wrightsville, PA he was the son of the late John and Ida (Fahringer) Leber. He was married to Patricia A. (Miller) Leber with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

He served in WWII from 1943-1946 in the Navy amphibious force aboard the LCT’s in the pacific. Dave worked for RCA and retired from there after 40 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Dave also enjoyed playing golf, bowling, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

He is survived by his two children, John Leber, of Lititz and Patti Leber Rottmund of Holtwood, 4 grandchildren: Daniel, Hans Leber, Melissa and Breck Artz and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and Clair Leber and one sister, Mildred Leber Bostrom.

Funeral Services will be at 11AM on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. A viewing will be held from 10-11AM at the funeral home on Friday. Interment will be private in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dave’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Dear John and Family . we are So sorry to hear about your father. He was such a nice person I would bring him over  dinner every day and he always thanks us he did tell me once he dident like rice  and when i made him stuffed peppers he dident like green ones we lived on the corner . you helped carry out a t.v. for my husband paul we will miss not talking to him  paul and cookie criscuolo

I am so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing.
He was a big man in my life. I learned a lot from him. He was a great role model to me and a good friend for many years.
He showed me what a good father and family man was all about.
 I have many good memories of him and Pat and life on South Shippen Street
