He was preceded in death by his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles.

He graduated from Holy Name Catholic High School, and the completed his associates degree at the PA Institute of Culinary Arts.

David spent his working years as a Chef who was very passionate about his industry. He ran numerous restaurants in both Berks and Lancaster Counties. He also was a chef instructor at YTI, Lancaster campus. David touched the lives of many of his students and he loved helping to mold them into great chefs. His current job was a Chef Manager for Eurest at Johnson and Johnson in Lititz, PA. Cooking was a great joy for David even if it was just at home or for a family gathering.

David enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Lebanon County Police Combat Pistol Club and doing multiple shooting competitions. He loved going for hikes with his wife and dogs, Cammi and Cooper, and spending lots of time outside, particularly at any beach in Florida. Do not stand at my grave and weep,  I am not there, I do not sleep.  I am in a thousand winds that blow,  I am the softly falling snow.  I am the gentle showers of rain,  I am the fields of ripening grain.  I am in the morning hush,  I am in the graceful rush  Of beautiful birds in circling flight,  I am the starshine of the night.  I am in the flowers that bloom,  I am in a quiet room.  I am in the birds that sing,  I am in each lovely thing.  Do not stand at my grave and cry,  I am not there. I do not die. (a poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye)

Gale, I’m so very sorry for your loss. My husband lost his sister in July 2020 to the exact same Cancer. From David’s obituary, it sounds as though he was a wonderful and very caring son. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you remember me from Meridian Bank. Was quite a number of years ago.

As a parent, I can’t imagine what it is like to watch your child slip away with all of your dreams and aspirations for him. We all face that in life, sooner or later, yet none of us are ever truly prepared for it when it comes. Our lives end but the memories and love we share with one another will live forever in our hearts and minds. David is gone, but his warm smile and kindness remains with us. Thank you David, for giving us that reminder that kindness and love lasts for ever. You left us way too soon and We will miss you eternally.

❤️ I will always remember the little blond toddler who grew up to be a good man. ✝️ Lord God, You have a tender heart for the hurting. May they feel Your loving presence and compassion for them in their grief, and may they not lose sight of the hope they have in Christ. In His name. Amen.
