Clifford T. Doorley, Jr., 67, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on April 19, 2017 at Reading Hospital. Born in Tarrytown, NY, he was the son of the late Clifford T. Doorley, Sr. and Anne M. (Martone) Doorley. Clifford was a husband of 43 years to wife (Gail M. Connolley). Cliff owned and operated a roofing & siding company in Elmsford, NY, then purchased and operated Cliffside Motor Inn, a motel, bar & restaurant, in Bennington, VT for 12 years. Cliff moved to Lancaster, PA in 1986, with family to build and operate the Weathervane Motor Court until he retired. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Jets. Cliff was always a good & loyal friend which he instilled in both of his children.
Cliff was the father of Clifford C. Doorley (wife Erika) and Nicole M. Doorley (Edgar). He was the grandfather, known as “Pop Pop” to two granddaughters.
A viewing will take place from 3-5 pm on April 23, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 176902. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 24 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Clifford will be laid to rest at 1 pm on Tuesday, April 25 at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, 540 N. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591.
