Clara M. (Bagnoli) Vinelli, 95

Clara M. (Bagnoli) Vinelli, 95, Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Mennonite Home. She was born in Lancaster to the late, John and Maria (Rocchi) Bagnoli and was the wife of the late, James M. Vinelli, Sr. who passed away 2001.
Clara was a seamstress who also enjoyed crocheting, travelling, playing cards, cooking, and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked at Food Fair & Pantry Pride of Columbia as a Checker Cashier from August 1962 until June 1969, part time for J.C. Penney’s over the Christmas holidays for three years, for Shick for a short time, and she and her husband owned and operated Vinelli’s Grocery Store in Columbia for three years. Clara retired in 1973.
She was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and several senior clubs, Guys & Dolls of St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church, Red Hat Society, Sacred Heart Hospitality Club and N.A.R.F.
Clara is survived by her two children, Donna J., wife of Mark Williams, of Washington Boro, and James M. Vinelli, Jr., husband of Jean L., of Manheim; her six grandchildren, Angie Miller, Renee Dotter, Michelle Adams, Chad Vinelli, Julie Williams, Ben Williams; and her eight great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Zack, Alyssa, Trey, Justin, Gavin, Brooke & Mitchell. Clara was preceded in death by her brothers, David, Albert, Gerald, and Merl Bagnoli.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA with The Rev. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant. A viewing will be held at the church Friday morning from (9:45AM -10:45AM). Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Clara’s honor to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
