Chrystopher Darlington, 33

May 09, 2021

On Sunday May 9th, our wonderful and beautiful Chrystopher Darlington, of Lancaster Pa, left us far too soon.

Chrys loved so passionately and endlessly. His late great grandmother, Dorothy Parker, was hugely influential in his life and one of his greatest comforts. His uncle, Blanford Parker, is his greatest champion. His son Maddox is the love of his life. Chrys is forever loved by his mother Holly, his father Eric, his siblings, Ashley, Diana and Liam, his grandfather Stephen, his grandmother Saundra, his aunt Andrea and his former wife Kelsey.

Nature and music were cornerstones of his many passions and talents. Music filled his heart and soul and he could spend hours salamander hunting while identifying local floral and fauna.

A memorial service will be held in private and for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations by made to Conservation International.

“Limitless, undying love,
Which shines around me like a million suns,
It calls me on and on across the universe”

OMG!  I just discovered that Chrystopher passed.  His mother, Holly, and I knew each other well – but that was a long time ago and life has moved on.  However, his passing is still a shock.  I am so sorry.

So deeply sad to learn just today about Chrys….  I deeply appreciate his sharing a great deal with me about his family, especially his great-uncle, Ted.
You gave it a helluva fight.  I’ll miss your spirit.  Rest in peace.

I know a few months have gone by since Chrys has passed, but I’m only seeing this memorial section now so I wanted to let his loved ones know he’s still thought of and missed every day.
Chrys and I were friends in high school and remained friends through the years. We ran into each other at a mutual friend’s wedding a few years ago, and he quickly became one of my very best friends. We talked every single day. He told me all the time how much I meant to him and how much he appreciated me, but I hope he knew how much his positivity and compassion truly meant to me. He always made sure my children were doing well, checked in on me regarding my health issues, and always knew how to make me smile at any time. We laughed together. We cried together. He talked about how much he loved Maddox every day. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone. His smile was contagious. It lit up a room. His distinct laugh will remain in my memory for the rest of my life. I still miss him every day. Our friend Ally and I got matching tattoos in honor of Chrys on his birthday right after his death. It’s a bouquet of his birth month flower (Lilly of the Valley) and Forget Me Not flowers because we won’t ever forget him! He made such a huge impact on my life and will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Condolences for You and your family. I worked for AT&T in the park city mall a very long time ago and had the pleasure of getting to know Chrys pretty well. When in a tight spot I needed a lift back home to harrisburg and he as all about it. He was a super hero that night to me. Wanted to somehow pay back the favor. Last year during the pandemic he was traveling and started a go fund me and I jumped at the chance to help him out as he helped me. I Donated $100 bucks called him and we spoke. Love that man’s sense of adventure. Didn’t know it would be the last time. Rest In Peace Chrys Darlington you’re among the Angels now. 😍🙏🏾

I’m very sorry for your loss of Chrys.  I worked with Chrys the last 2 years I was at the Post Office.  His route was next to mine and we would get into some interesting conversations.  He told me of his love for his great grandma, and how proud he was of his new born son.  He showed me pictures of his son and his dogs and he shared his struggles too on occasions.  We shared an interest in plants, succulents and we shared a few offsets with each other on occasion.  I was glad to have gotten to know his kind spirit.  RIP Chrys🙏

I met Chrys when he was probably 15 years old or so. We were friendly over the years, even working together for a bit at Hot Topic back in the day. I actually interviewed him right before Covid hit for a potential job position and that was our last communication. I am terribly terribly sorry to hear of this news. My thoughts are with his family and friends. Rest easy Chrys.

I am devestated. This is awful news.
Living next door to Chrys for so many years I learned of his kindness, compassion, and love of nature. He pointed out the different birds flying overhead. For  many years I heard the band playing in his basement. I loved it. He was devoted to Dorothy (my best friend until she passed). I also loved his hugs.
I am so sorry.

Bro I feel like it was yesterday we were working at the mall together hanging out during breaks or outside just having a good convo. You are such a bright light in everyone’s lives. Your smile was infectious and I know you are in a better place. Smiling down on everyone and know you are loved and missed here. You were too good for this wicked world.
Goodbye my friend.

My heart hurts to see this- Sending all the love and peace to all of you. I had just spoken to C about our hopes for the Phillies this year – he was the same spirited friend I met in 5th grade. Rest fully, friend. Love.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Chrys was such an amazing human being. He was one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met. He was truly one of my best friends. Maddox was always the number one thing he would talk about and think about. If there’s anything I can do, please don’t hesitate to ask. -Melissa Kay
