Condolences to the Family

My name is Geoff Page.  I met Charlie in the 5th grade at McKinley Elementary school.  The most enduring memory I have of Charlie was when our 5th grade teacher put on the musical Oklahoma! and Charlie was the star, he sang the lead part and had beautiful voice for such a young guy.  It was especially poignant for me because I had witnessed Charlie being picked on mercilessly by other kids for reasons I never understood.  But for that one day, Charlie was a real star and he got the positive attention he really needed.  I’m very sorry to hear about this, my condolences to the family.

It occurred to me that I wasn’t seeing Charlie’s daily coffee posts so I checked to see if he was out of town. When I saw that he had died, I was shocked.
I’ve known Charlie since high school and was delighted to reconnect with him on Facebook.
Dotti, I send you my love and empathy. It’s been awhile but I have been where you are. Please call me if there is anything I can do to help. Even if you just need to talk.
Charlie, you will be missed.

I met Charlie when we were neighbors in NOVA. Just 3-4 years old! He was my one friend in our area and we went to the same preschool with my mom, who taught there. His mom babysat me as well. He was sweet then and sweet when he reconnected with me and visited twice over the past few years! A very special person. I’m so very sad and sorry for this profound loss. Ellen Bradley

Charlie, I will always love you and miss you.  I cannot believe that we will never be together again.  I was so fortunate to have you in my life.  You made me so happy and every moment we spent together was an exciting adventure.  Everything reminds me of you so I hope that the excruciating sadness I feel now will eventually be replaced by the joy that I found in your company.  I keep wanting to talk with you about what is going on in the world like we always did, but when I turn around, you are not there.  With all my love, your wife, Dotti
