Charles R. King, 79

Charles R. “Chuck” King, 79, of Lancaster died Monday at Lancaster General Hospital.

He retired in 1991 as Foreman at JC Snavely Co. formerly named BB Martin.  He was a Custom Mill Worker and Cabinet Maker.  In the 1940’s, he worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and he graduated from Stevens Trade School. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He served in the Navy during WWII.

Born in Altoona he was the son of the late Charles E. and Bessie May Falk King.

He was married for 55 years to Eva Casciotti King.

Surviving besides his wife is one son; William C. married to Kimberly A. King of Willow Street; one grandson; Alexander W. King; one sister; Wilema Baker of Altoona.  He was preceded in death by three sisters; Dorothy Mohler, Virginia King and Helen Brown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster on Saturday at 11:00am.  Friends may call at the church from 10:00am until 11:00am.  Entombment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Chuck’s memory may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Restoration Fund, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
