Rest well, Charlie.  Of the many scouting adventures that we shared I will never forget the start of the Cumberland to Washington, Potomac River canoe trip.  You volunteered to haul the canoes with your station wagon.  We almost got there when your engine caught on fire.  The scouts poured everything they had on the engine to quench the flames and then that Good Samaritan somehow rewired your engine so that we could continue.  The trip was great Thanks to you.  You were a quiet, kind, compassionate human being!  Thank you, Charlie
Joe Lee, Troop 99 scouter.
