Charles Weigand built our home, which I inherited in 1997, it was built in 1962(finiwshed). He was a good friend to my father, William A. Zell, and had a great sense of humor. I was only 15 and when we moved in our cat was missing several days. He made cat noises and I would run to see where our at was. We found him after a few days and Charlie would laugh about me hunting him. My paarents loved him and our house. He stopped by at times

What a shock for us to read of Charlie’s death in the Lancasteronline today! Sam tried to visit him frequently, but we knew Charlie wished it had been more often. Sometimes we stopped after church on Sunday. He and Lou were great friends to us. Sam has fond memories of water skiing with Charlie, working together on building projects, and in later years, Charlie would often drop by on a Sat. just to talk. We will miss him, and know that for you the sadness must be very great.
Sending our love and sympathy, Stella & Sam Esch

Nancy and Barb,
I was saddened to read of your father’s death in today’s paper. I was just thinking yestrday that we should visit sometime this week and take him a chocolate milkshake. I know he would have had a birthday on Tuesday.
We will truly miss Charlie. He was not only our builder but a good friend as well. We are sorry for your lose. We talk about him quite often in our home and have many fond memories. Hopefully you have many fond memories as well.
Sincerely,
Gerry and Carol Kurl
