Cathleen N. Engle, 42

Cathleen  “Leen” N. Engle, 42, of 592 Laurel Lane, Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly at Lancaster General Hospital on Tuesday morning, November 27, 2007.

She was the wife of Mark J. Engle, with whom she had celebrated 19 years of marriage this past March 5^th. Born in Harrisburg, Cathleen was the daughter of Donna J. Lesniak Silver, wife of Edwin Silver, of Harrisburg, and the late Theodore Bartucci. She was the adopted daughter of Harold Freed of Harrisburg.

Cathleen had worked as an investment administrator for Capital Advisors Inc of Lancaster for the past 18 years. A 1987 graduate of Millersville University, she earned a BS degree in Communications.

She enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, photography, and was the best “doggie mother” to her Golden Retriever, Walker. She also loved to spend time at the beach in New Jersey. She was a devoted mother and aunt.

Cathleen was a member of the Lancaster Moravian Church.

In addition to her mother, adoptive father, and husband, Cathleen is survived by her two daughters: Kaylie E. Engle and Alexis N. Engle; a sister, Danette  Freed of Harrisburg ; a brother, Theodore Freed of Harrisburg, and her in-laws, James and Sandra Engle of Lancaster.  She will also be sadly missed by her brother-in-law, Matt, her sister-in-law, Julie, and her nephews Nicolas, Connor, and Jack.

Friends will be received on Friday from 7-9PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Friends may call again on Saturday at the funeral home from 10-11AM, with the funeral service to follow at 11AM with the Rev Dr. Robert S. Stoudt officiating. Interment in  St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Neffsville.
