Carleton H. “Mac” MacConnell, 74

Carleton H. “Mac” MacConnell, 74, of Lancaster, passed away on April 2, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. Born in Long Island, New York, he was the son of the late Wade W. and Susanne A. MacConnell.
Mac will be remembered for all the lives he touched throughout his career as an art teacher and counselor. He found his true calling in creating art. From portraits in charcoal to abstract sculpting, he was able to create beautiful pieces regardless of the medium.
Carleton is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Marilyn MacConnell; his son, Collin MacConnell of Atlanta, Georgia; his sister, Suzanne MacConnell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and brothers in law, H. Taft Wireback, husband of Deanna Thomson and Kenneth J. Wireback, husband of Sharon. He was preceded in passing by his parents and older half-sister.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
