Carl F. Depue, 85

Carl F. Depue, 85, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Maple Farm Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John and Lena (Fryberger) Depue. He was the loving husband of the late Patsy “Pat” Depue who passed away in 2015.
He was a 1962 graduate of JP McCaskey High School.
Carl spent a majority of his working career as a sales representative for Nestle Company. He loved camping with his family over the years at Millrace Golf and Camping Resort in Benton, PA. He was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.
He proudly served in the US Army as a tank operator during the Korean War in Germany.
Carl is survived by his daughters: Georgianne married to Joel Johnson, US Army (Ret) of Mechanicsburg, Barbara married to Donald Henry Jr. of Lancaster, and Carla married to David Lanyon of New Castle, DE. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Robert Kichman (Casey), Donald Henry III (Pam), Krista Myers (Martin), Michael Lanyon (Sarah); one great-grandson, Hunter Henry. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Farm Nursing Center for the exceptional care that was given to Carl during his time there.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 11AM at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, Rts 741 and 999, Millersville, PA with services conducted by Rev. Kathryn Kuhn. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carl’s memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Support Group, 1001 E. Oregon Rd, Lititz, PA 17543 or to Maple Farm Nursing Center, 604 Oak St, Akron, PA 17501.
